A quiet close season ?

Well I would have to answer NO to that question. First of all the boys and I went to sort out season tickets for next year. As the others all have kids, we would have to be in the East (family) stand. Terry and I went down the ground one lunch time, chatted with the people there and were able to work out (roughly) where we would like to be, by walking around the stand, checking views from seats etc. (something you will not get at premiership grounds Im sure!)

In the end we have booked 9 tickets, Trevor plus 2 kids , Paul plus 2 kids, Terry plus 1 kid, and me.. a kid on my own !

Then Martin Ling hasnt wasted any time in getting in new players. First of all a goalkeeper , Glyn Garner. Interesting... I wonder how long ago he lined that up ? After all he let Paul Jones sign for Exeter, and then he didnt say anything about a new contract for Lee Harrison until he said no at the end ... well we shall see. Its a shame for Lee Harrison, I liked him, he always put everything into his performances, and the new guy will have to work hard to match that.

Then his second signing was Shane Tudor from Cambridge, a winger. Im sure Ling has been disappointed with the inconsistency of Wayne Carlisle, so maybe this is to take his place a bit. What Carlisle needs is confidence though. ... but will this work ?

The play offs were this weekend. Southend went up.... hmm probably a better footballing side than Lincoln, but after the games we had against them, it makes you think whether we should have been there . As for the fans... the only fighting I saw at Orient last year was when they visited... Im sure they have a lot of genuine fans, but it did rather spoil it for me.

Then this afternoon it is the West Ham game v Preston. I have several friends who are West Ham supporters, so although it is against the Orient v West Ham ethic, I have to say "Come on you Hammers!"
